They will do everything they can to drive energy prices up and keep them there, this fits into the plans of the environazis that control the Dems. Gas prices are high because demand has dipped due to a global recession and as such the OPEC nations have slowed production to artificially raise prices and continue making a profit rather than let the price of their commodity fall due to shrinking demand.





Makes sense from an economic stance especially if you take their side but it just proves how utterly reliant we are to these for profit entities. The only way to fix gas prices is to start having an economy that is not structured around a fuel source that we have to buy from someone else. If we can choose what we fuel ourselves with from among options, then competition will drive down costs. As long as oil has a monopoly on our transportation energy needs prices can be raised or lowered arbitrarily.How high will oil and gas prices have to go before Obama and Democrats address the issue?

So... Obama and his crew won't want to help until he has gotten rid of the middle class and has elevated all his minions by giving them city/state/federal jobs, a $250,000 house as public housing, and on and on. Just a note: One of Obama's lst csar appointee's was an Urban Csar. And he also appointed an Energy Csar, Green Csar, Weather Csar and so on. NOTICE that he has not appointed a Suburbia Csar or a Rural Csar, so if you don't live in the inner city, you will be SOL.
But, wait, it's GW and the evil Republicans who are in bed with the oil companies. Why isn't gas below $1/gallon now that those mean conservatives aren't in power anymore?





The government should not control the price of anything. All it does is create shortages and ruin the economy. Doesn't anyone remember gas rationing in the 1970's?

As George W pointed out in 2001, what needs to be done should have been done about 5 years ago - which puts it squarely in the laps of the Republicans.





So why did they do nothing about it? Probably because they were too busy greasing their own palms with it.
What ever supply and demand are...sure we can drill in the USA, but thats atleast 5 years away even if we started today, and what makes u think it will be cheaper? There are alot of Unions for the oil drillers, and that will raise the price sky high, just like cars. The pres has nothing to do with gas prices, just like ha cant stop wonder bread from charging what they want.

Last year when it went up to $4.50/gallon, all I heard was that it was Bush couldn't do anything about it because the price was driven by supply and demand.





Despite the fact that supply was at an all time high and demand was at a decade low.
I heard the other day that oil will reach $250 a barrel by November. The thought of oil going that high has Obama and the kooky liberals salivating. They love it when the middle class suffers.
Let the market decide the prices of gas, that is the philosophy of the Republican Party.
They want a percentage, so the higher Opec raises the rates the higher they hope to tax the consumer. OB %26amp; Co,. are all about stealing from the populace while pretending they are not
it's not even on their radar screen...taking over banking, automotive,





and controlling big tobacco and ruining health care has them full up!!!
That's just it. They never will. They never have before. Truth be told they want the prices so high that we'll all be forced into their ';green'; agenda which is a total crock to begin with.
It will go higher until it reaches a point where people drive less....then demand will go down, along with price....same thing as last year
They will do nothing for the issue! They want it to go up so it will force people to buy the ';new government line of cars'; that no one wants!
